What is an Independent Education Consultant? Sunbridge Institute of English offers teacher training courses to people who want to learn how to teach English abroad (in a country where English is not the first language). Tuition for each course is currently $375 USD.
Most people know others who would like to teach or travel overseas. To become an Independent Education Consultant with Sunbridge, all you have to do is apply. There is no cost to you. You do not need specific education qualifications but should be at least 21. Each time someone who you refer registers for one of the Sunbridge courses, you earn 10%. That's $37.50. Not a fortune but by listening to people around you you could easily refer several people each month (each week even if you work at it!)
If you know anyone who might be interested, direct them to the Sunbridge web site. At the same time, send their name to Sunbridge. Once you are accepted as an Independent Education Consultant (IEC), we send you a monthly report and the IEC referral fee once they have paid their tuition and started the course.
Don't know anyone who wants to teach overseas? Just listen to conversations around you. Ask people you know if they know anyone who might be interested. There is a huge need for English teachers in many countries around the world. Check my last post to see all the teaching positions that need to be filled - and that list is just the tip of the iceberg.
So how do you get started?
1. Email me and ask to become an IEC with Sunbridge Institute of English. Tell me a little about yourself.
2. Refer people to our web site: http://www.teachesl.org
3. Let us know of anyone who expresses an interest. We will acknowledge the lead you send us and record you as the referrer. If they register, you get paid!
That's how easy it is. You can put a few extra bucks in your pocket just by keeping your ears open!
IMPORTANT NOTE: As an Independent Education Consultant, you DO NOT work for Sunbridge Institute of English. You work for yourself but REFER people to Sunbridge.

Wherever you want to
go, teaching jobs are likely available but it is harder to get hired in some
places. Western Europe is a tough nut to crack. Eastern Europe has many
opportunities as does South America. Still atop the list of areas that
desperately need a huge number of English teachers is Asia. It is tougher
to get a teaching job in Hong Kong and Japan but South Korea, Thailand, China
and Indonesia offer many opportunities. Be flexible and prepared to go where
the jobs are to gain experience.
All it takes is a degree and a TESOL certificate. Most schools will even reimburse your airfare! WAIT! No degree? Contact us through our web site! We can help you!
There couldn't be a better
time to get started than right now! You could be
teaching in one of these countries within a few weeks. Some of our students are
hired even before they complete their TESOL course and we are delighted to
forward their certificate to their new school!
Go to our web site and get started today on a course
that will change your life very quickly! Jobs are tough to get at home. Not so
overseas. All you need is a willingness to accept other cultures, a degree in
any discipline and our TESOL certificate. Then you’ll be ready to start the New Year off
